An Immune India

Among all the selfless desires cherished by human race, there are very few which have remained constant since eternity and one of those is the desire to have healthier offspring in terms of body as well as mind. Every generation wishes well for the next generation and wants them to be healthy, wealthy, safe and happy.

As much as we want to leave a better planet for our children, the reality is that the planet and the environment is increasingly becoming more and more hostile because of the lifestyle we, as human beings, have espoused. The impact of mining, power generation, transportation, air conditioners and so many other industries is catastrophic on environment and resulting in more and more contaminants and imbalances in the nature. But then, this lifestyle cannot be overturned suddenly so that leaves us with the only option of preparing and building ourselves and our kids strong against such threats.

There is another aspect of immunity which we must think about for our kids. The immunity of body against the viruses and bacteria is important but equally important is to immune them against the base thoughts which are corrupting the minds of tiny ones. The lack of respect for women and elders, the power of money, the arrogance, violence and so many other such wrong notions are attacking the fledgling minds of our youngsters and so it becomes our responsibility to protect our children from that as well.

Thankfully immunizing the body is easy because nature itself provides the solution in form of herbs and plants. The rishis of old times have found the right herbs for us and we have preserved this knowledge in the form of Ayurveda. Chyawanprash is one such Ayurvedic mixture of herbs which is extremely effective in strengthening the immune system and fighting all sorts of bacteria, viruses and infections. It acts in a pre-emptive manner against illnesses rather than trying to curb illness after it has occurred like the medicines work.

It was recently in news that a research has found that the allopathic medicines are becoming less effective against the more powerful drug-resistant bacteria and viruses spawning in the environment. That makes a product like Dabur Chyawanprash even more relevant and important and should be consumed regularly. It is an outstanding brew of all the natural herbs and has got no side-effects, tastes good and so could be easily incorporated in anyone’s even our kids’ daily diet.

Sadly there is no straightforward one teaspoon Chyawanprash twice a day like remedy for menaces attacking young minds and we have to lead by example here to let our kids inculcate the right values and way of living. We need heroes today more than ever, we need more heroes like Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Narayanmurthy who have worked extremely hard, got tremendous success but never let that success or power go off their head. They are still humble, polite and good to others. Sachin’s respect for his parents, family, friends and fans was so evident and heart-touching in his retirement speech. We need to act in a same manner and give our kids the right ideas that is work hard and no matter what, respect and love everyone.

I feel the concept of Immune India could only be a reality when both these goals are achieved that is providing our kids the right things to eat as well as setting for them the right examples to follow. We need to nourish the body as well as mind of our children. Let us start doing it right from our home and society and make efforts towards realizing this dream of Immune India for our lovely generations to come.

The Warmth of Sun

There is possibly a moment in everyone’s life when we realize that everything on this earth, whatever lived and breathed and smiled, managed to do this because there is someone who is scorching and glowing, encompassing all the chaos within, and giving away all that it can, in the form of eternal flow of energy. The present and future lives follow the same script. This is our Sun, so grand and so far, yet caring kindly and giving generously. For me, that moment is whenever I experience the power of fire. It is so overwhelming even from a distance that when I stand to think about it, my heart fills with cries for everyone who unfortunately had to experience it in life. And then thoughts wander towards real fire lord, our Sun, just to think about the turmoil of atoms and heat and the vast scale of all of it and containing that all since billions of years and will continue to do so for billions more and with all that, managing to create and sustain happiness millions of kilometers away, i...

Eternal Love

This poem is for my love for Sho which is eternal. My gratitude to you will never end and I feel so joyful and content when I am with you. May God bless you and May you be always happy and healthy. A  stranger walks  into my life unhindered, stokes fire in mind n leaves it bewildered, dances on my heart-beats so immaculately, that it makes me craving to be her kindred. She shows up when there is none, talks n talks n talks while I am mum, caresses every fiber of my eardrum, and purges my worries in a pool of fun. I look at sky and envisage her face, twinkling stars fading against her winking eyes, full moon lying himself just to feel glees, and infinite space reminding of her endless tries. Never before anyone cared for me so much, like a cool breeze and it's gentle touch, O' my lord if love is so special as such, then bless my life with her even in a HUTCH.

344x Returns

Recently, I increased my activity on LinkedIn and discovered a wealth of useful information by following the right pages. I've always been a fan of general knowledge, but currently focusing more on startup-related information, which is abundant there. One post highlighted that the founders of Snapdeal are achieving returns of 157x in the Shadowfax IPO. This prompted me to consider whether this is the best ROI from recent Indian IPOs. After some research, found that there are even bigger returns. Here are the top 5 before Shadowfax, first one at 344x:

Chapter One - A shocking failure

Night beckoned and the desire to protest crumbled to pieces as her feet began to collapse under the enormous strain she had been enduring for hours. Her defence was conceived inexpugnable among the fraternity named Silent Sodality by it's father founder, venerable among people of all ages, with a solemn pledge to purge vitiated minds across the world. He was the man of words preternaturally skilled in wielding weapons along a mental force reckoned coercive by all. His motives were clear and just and he tied everyone becoming a part of this family with a set of rules, ambits and secrets using a oath which devours your strength in case of any breach of code and conduct. The vow was never broken and the world flourished with the bravery and wits of those noble souls giving every bit for the cause but never before it was subjected to such a strenuous test in the history. "You know you can't do it, why don't you give in? You are only lingering the inevitable." a grave...
